My Dear Parishioners,

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4.6)

Greetings to all of you in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Thank God Almighty for the smooth conducting of the KUVBS. We are very glad to note that the final day programme of the KUVBS was well organized with variety entertainment programmes on June 26th, 2009. More than 700 children have participated in the KUVBS and they chose Jesus Christ as their Savior. Please pray for those children who have dedicated and accepted Jesus Christ.

The Homeland Fellowship 2009 was held at AMM Bible Institute Auditorium on Tuesday 14th July was a grand success. Nearly 200 participants including most of our former Vicars and Associate Vicars attended the fellowship. The presence and leadership of our Valiya Metropolitan along with other clergies is the asset of the meeting and Thirumeny graced the occasion. Rev. PM Varghese was elected as the President of the Homeland Fellowship 2010 and Mr. PE Thomas will continue to be the Convener. We extent our sincere thanks to President Rev. PM Varghese, Convener Mr. P E.Thomas, Co-convener Mr. MK Pothen and Committee members for the success of the Homeland fellowship meeting.

As the words say "Nothing is Impossible" all Mar Thoma Parishes in other gulf countries are getting land to construct worshipping places except Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. We have to prayerfully explore this possibility in this land also. So please remember this subject in your prayers. The first Kaisthana Samithi was held on Sunday 5th July, 09 and planned for the forthcoming programmes. The Retreat for the Organization office bearers, Prayer group Vice Presidents, Secretaries and Kaisthana Samithi was conducted on 23rd July. The theme was "Leadership Quality". All those who participated had revamped. Rev. Varghese M Thomas, Vicar, Ahamadi Parish was the main leader. We extend our gratitude to the leader, our Achens and all Prayer Group Vice-Presidents, Secretaries and Kaisthana Samithi members for their support and leadership. Do you remember our forefathers had proclaimed the gospel in public places and junctions especially during the season of Kerala traditional festival Onam, called Onavara Suvisesha Vela. During this season please do not forget the campers and those who are living in various isolated camps here and around Kuwait. Visit them and give fellowship to them. We need the co-operation and support of all the parishioners to carry out this ministry effectively and fruitfully.

The Edavaka Mission Annual convention is planned to be held from 17th to 21st August. Request your prayers for the blessing for the convention. Eva. Babu Pullad will be the Main Speaker. The months of August - September is scheduled for the collection of the subscription and Edavaka Sandharanam. The day to day needs of the Parish have to be met from these collections. Your prayers and wholehearted support is solicited.

Our country is celebrating 62nd year of Independence on 15th August 2009. Thanking God for sixty two years of political freedom for Indians. Developments in various fields have made Indians make their mark in the competitive fields of technology and IT in the world. At the same time paradox exists alongside. Let us pray for our country.

Let me thank each one of you and request your support and encouragement to our Parish ministry for the spiritual nurturing and development of our Parish.

With love and prayers

"Praise the Lord, who carries our burdens day after day. He is the God who saves us" (Psalms 69: 19)

My dear brothers and sisters,

Let us all give thanks and praise to God for His Grace and Mercy.

In the history of our Edavaka the last week was an unforgettable week for more than one reason. We could organize a mega reception meeting to felicitate our 21st Marthoma, His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Marthoma Metropolitan Thirumeny on His Grace's first visit to our Parish. Without your whole hearted support, it would not have been a success. I take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to our Vicars, Parishioners and various organizations, especially our Thampi Achen and the General Convener Raju Achen, who have dedicated their time and efforts to make the event a big success. All other programmes scheduled during the last month also went on very well.

The Annual Report, Receipt and Payment Statement of Account for the year 2008-09 were presented at the Kaisthana samithi and now the auditing of the accounts is in progress.

Let us thank for the Grace of God for the good exam results of our children. On behalf of the parish, I congratulate each one of them who has passed their examinations and wish them all success in the future studies.

Your prayers are requested for the new office bearers who have assumed their responsibilities. Let God bless them and we stand behind them for the betterment of our parish.

Please up hold us in your daily prayers With love and prayers

Respected Achens, Beloved Brothers, Sisters and My dear Children in Jesus Christ,

Warm greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I would like to thank all the parishioners, friends, and colleagues and well wishers who supported and chose me as your Secretary along with other office bearers. I will endeavor to continue the hard work for our church and try to elevate our parish as the best one in the Middle East. in actual fact, we have only even months in front of us to work effectively. Due to the very speedy growth of the technology and globalization, we have lost our good traditions and practices on several occasions.

In the history of our church, we were able to conduct the Passion Week Services at three locations and conducted the Holy Communion service on Maundy Thursday at Ebenezer hall, Abbassiya. We thank ford for the great provisions He has provided us in this land. It was an experiment and our Parishioners proved that the services required continually in this area, in future.

We are entering a new fiscal year and the economic crisis has become a global issue. The experts have lost their confidence in predicting the length or depth of the present financial crisis and are unable to show the way out of it. Our neighboring countries were affected partly which has caused some panic and worry. If you remember our past in this country, when the Iraqis invaded this country we have experienced God's wonderful care and providence. 1Peter 2:9 says But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light, so our assurance is in the faithfulness of our risen Jesus Christ.

At this moment we would like to congratulate and extend our gratitude for the whole hearted support provided to the parish by our former office bearers and Kaisthana Samithi. Our junior and Senior conference for Sunday School children were held under the leadership of our Rev. Genii Abraham Achen with a great theme "I have to be in my Fathers House" Thanks are due to all participants and the teachers. Also the KUBS is scheduled during June. This year they chose a wonderful theme "Radiance of Virtues". Let us pray and support this event. This month onwards many of our members are planning to go on vacation. Bon Voyage and May God bless us all.
